Mr Goodwin (Teacher) Introduced a new technology with Fruits and  Made a Controller out off Fruit.

Our task was to read a report from New Zealand Harold. I learnt how to write a lead paragraph of a news report. 

Console poster

Walt: identify the main points in the text  Our task was to create a poster of and game console. The game console im doing is Gameboy. I have learnt how to put colour in the poster.

ANZAC Day Lest we forget

WALT:  Finding Out about  ANZAC.

Today at school We were celabrating the 100 year Gallipoli World war 1.  The whole school went  out side where the Filed of remebreing the soliders that Died in World war 1 and 2. Everyone was wearing  poppys so we can all remeber the people that died for Us.

ANZAC is important Because Alot of people went to War and fort for us. Did You know that ANZAC stands for: Austrlia New zealand Army Crops. 

We are learning about Anzac.
Our task was to write a post about what happend this Morning.

News paper tower!!!!!!

Walt: write a detailed introduction with hook and orientation.
Have you ever built a newspaper tower?
Well our literacy class did. I think my teacher is getting more crazier like before because he said we had to build a tower out of paper. Let me tell you all about it.

First we went into our literacy class  and sat on the mat. Then Our Teacher Mr Goodwin said “can you put your netbook on a safe table. Then  Next  we had to get into groups of 4 or 5. In my group we had Rima, Loseli, Kura, Inez Vinolia and Me. Our Materials were 1 long Masking scissors  tape, 5 sheets of newspaper.


We had only 8 minutes to make our tower we were all panicking. The timer started, we started building our tower. First We rolled our newspaper, Then we tried to put it together. Our teacher gave every group some advice he said  you need a bass so your tower can stand. I thought we never done it right because we never had a plan.


Finally the 8 minutes was up, It was time to judge. At the end there were only 2 towers that came in. It was rosalina group and talita group. We all thought that it would be easy to judge but we were wrong it was really hard. We needed  a ruler  but we had no ruler our teacher was unorganized but finally there was a ruler. We judge it to see who would win the group who won was talita group.  


Our task was asking us to make a tower out off paper. Only 8 minntues to do our tower paper. I learnt how to built a tower and to help my team.

Malama Honua

Have you ever had Malama Honua come to your school?
Well they did, On wednesday the whole Manaiakalani schools came down to the Pt England beach to see the Malama Honua .There were 2,000 kids there to see the two wakas called Hokulea and Hikianalia  . They came all the way from Hawaii. We all sang E Oho, Nga Waka and He honore. My Favourite part was our singing and the two wakas. I felt happy because the Malama Honua came to auckland New Zealand.

Today I have I visited my friend blog her name is May. 
In her paragrah she wrote about her favourite activity to do at camp.  It was kayaking with Mr Burt at Point England beach. Also they did free time swimming.


This blog post has made more excited about camp.
I really want to do kayaking because it sound like fun.
Also to do others activity at camp.

awsome Year 5 and 6 camp!!!

Have you ever been to camp at school before? Well every single year the year 5s  and 6s  get the opportunity to sleep in tents on camp.  This is how it went down.
Well It was our 25th anniversary for the year 5 and 6 camp. In  1991 that is when the whole year 5 and 6 camp started. In camp we get to do activities and have lots of fun.
One of my favorite highlights was kayaking with Mrs Graden. There were only 1 rule it was foot, bum and foot. Foot, bum and foot is when you put your right foot in the kayak then bum and then your other foot. I felt really nervous going on a kayaking. But Lucky I went on a double with one of my friends.

Another of my favorite highlights is when we went to mangere pools. It was sad for everyone because it was our last day on camp. But were lucky to go to the pools. My favorite part was swimming in the deep pool with my friends.
Also the bombing pool, heaps of kids did lots of flips and bombs.  
I felt happy because it learnt a lot and how to  kayak. I learnt that camp was really fun and how to wish that i could go 
2 weeks ago it was our year 5 and 6 camp. Our task was asking us to write a body paraghrap about camp. Also to write another 2 body paragrahp.
