ASB Polyfest 2k17

What is polyfest? Polyfest is a polynesian celebration that is celebrated in Manukau every year. Every year over 1000 people come to polyfest to watch the Tongan, Niuean, Cook Island, Maori and more stages. Every year Schools around Auckland compete for the top 3. This year Team 5 got the amazing opportunity to go to polyfest.

There were a lot of Stations at poly like the Police station, the AUT, fire Department & More. The AUT station had a was amazing because a young girl that lived in fiji moved to New zealand to start her app for whenever there is a cyclone or Tsunami. That is really helpful to people in fiji so the app can

My favourite part of the day is when we went to the Maori & Diversity Stage. In the Maori stage there were a lot of moving, Singing and dancing and in the diversity stage we all cheered for our friends that use to come to PES.

What i learnt is when we went to the fire department and they demonstrated how to put out a fire. When you are cooking and a fire goes wrong don't put water in if there is oil, You can grab a wet tea towel and carefully put it on the pot. You can also grab a chopping board.

It was so amazing seeing the stages perform. I was so happy to see the ex pt englanders perform at Polyfest. To the Aorere students that Guided us to each stations and to the crew that helped run the amazing day Thank You. Also I would like to say a massive Thank you to the Teachers and parent helpers for coming and taking care of team 5 while we were there.

Awesome Animals,Roaring and making loud Noises yeah i'm talking about the Zoo. I have been on a Virtual tour but It sucks because it is just not the same as the  real tour. If you want to find out more about this Please read on.

Many Animals at the zoo is just awesome but sometimes you would want to visit the zoo. This Week i have been on a Virtual Tour exploring other animals at San Diego zoo. Have you ever Been to San diego zoo or have just explored where there are awesome animals are?

Onomatopoeia

The Task was to draw a Onomatopoeia word.
I learnt what the Meaning of Onomatopoeia.
A onomatopoeia is a when a word Like Cat Makes a Sound. For Example the sound of cat Makes Meow. 

When The Door Gets Slam Really loud you can here it go BAM.

The Market Day

Walt: write an interesting and detailed recount. Have you ever Had a Market Day at your School Or Class Room before? Well Team 4 did. Read on to find out more about the Market Day. The reason Why we are having our Marking Day because our topic is Trade and Enterprise. Also because we have been Making product for the past few weeks. I was In custom Stationery Group. Me and my Business Partners Waimaria, Patricia and Aliyah were Making Name Labels For Netbook, or Tot Trays. The Market had Started everyone was so Happy. Me, Waimaria and Aliyah at the same time we were Delivering and Buying. As i walked Pass I saw all the other product Like Candles, Soap, Loom Bands and More. I saw a Ice Block in a cup that the Kitchen people made. s i walked past and Thought should I buy it and I did. I Offered to do all the Delivering. We only Had 1 Hour Left to go and still didn't Deliver I Tried my Best to look for the People that ordered our name labels. I saw Aliyah and ask her to help me, We did it together and had Heaps of Pts. My Highlights about the Market was when we Delivered the name labels  Just in time. My Feelings about the Markets is everyone had enjoyed it. Recount Writing 1 2 3 4 Write for my reader I've tried to think about my reader My writing shows some awareness of reader because my writing is quite clear and I have tried to interest my reader. My writing is easy to understand and I have tried to tell the reader what it was like to be there by giving details and my thoughts. My writing really considers audience as reader because I have kept their interest and made them feel like they know exactly what it was like for me. Purpose I tried to meet the purpose My text goes some way towards meeting the purpose The message is clear in some parts of the recount. My text fully meets the purpose. The message is clear all through the recount. Introduction My introduction does not yet clearly orientate or hook in my reader. My introduction gets some buy in from audience and they can understand what I am going to write about. My introduction hooks in my reader and it is clear what I am writing about. My introduction wows my reader! Paragraph Topics My paragraphs are confused and don't follow my plan. I have tried to follow my plan. Most my paragraphs are about 1 big idea and I have added some detail. My paragraphs have some complex as well as simple sentences. Post paragraphs give details about 1 big idea. Jeffas Chocolate

Walt: use language that paints a picture in the mind of our reader.

Cadbury Chocolate Is Tasty and delicious, I could eat it everyday.

New Cadbury’s Chocolate Jeffas is a large size.

It Cost $3.50 at countdown but it's more expensive at the other super markets.

When I first saw the New Jeffas chocolate it looked Yummy.

Smelling the chocolate it reminds me how I always use to eat chocolate.

Touching the chocolate I can think how it would be melting in my mouth.

Feeling the taste of the orange dots I could feel The texture of Jeffas.

The chocolate

I wouldnt have to improve anything but just 1.

I Love The jeffas chocolate but think you should improve More Jeffas in the Chocolate. Only because there are no that much jeffas in the chocolate.

Overall I would recommend this chocolate to chocolate people that love chocolate. I know that this is a fantastic product. I rate this Chocolate 4 Out of 5.

Super Speed

WALT: write effective paragraphs using juicy and exciting words.

If I had a superpower it would be super speed  I picked super speed because if i had to do my chores and run faster and can do it in 1 minute.  Read on to find out more about my super powers.

My ability is marvelous speed. I could do my chores and do my homework in 1 minutes. The feeling having super speed would be awesome because I wouldn't have to do my work for an hour or so. When my powers are used fuzzy is what people think when they try to look at me.

Families could be saved from crisis if there was a superhero. I could use my powers to save the world from crisis. Also to stop tunados from ruining the world. I could also save GI from danger as well.

I think having these powers are awesome because you could be remembered by a lot of people for what you Did. I also think that having powers would be cool but not just cool but awesome for me. Saving people would be awesome if i would use my powers.

Our task was to write a paragrah. We focase on One paragragh at a time. At the end My partner Alisha Marked My work by using a Rubric. I learnt how to write a sentences in 10 to 13 Mins.
