Hiwi the Kiwi

 Yesterday Morning Hiwi the kiwi came to Point England school. Mark & Tania came to PES to entertain us. A Lesson or 2 i learnt were if  the fish is too big it is having a baby & If the fish is too small just let it grow.
Mark told us Stories about 2 people that went Fishing & then their Boat went flying & Hit a Log, But really sad part they Both Died. so Mark told us Always wear a life jacket. They did action songs and one of them were Kai Moana. Here are the Lyrics. Kai Moana food from the sea
 Kai Moana to feed the family, Fish for the future and there will always be more Kai Moana for you and me.

Summer Olympics for 2016

WALT:We had to write a Narrative based on the Picture we chose about the Olympics.
 Hi Guys, This is my narrative writing about Lisa Carrington. We had to write a Narrative based on the Picture we chose about the Olympics. I would like to say a big well done to the athletes for Representing out country & making us Proud. Well done guys!!!!!

On the 4th to 21st of August, I went to Rio to watch the Summer Olympics of 2016. I saw the famous Lisa Carrington in her canoe racing towards the finish line. I was cheering for her as she completed the race.

The race had finally finish, Lisa looked extremely proud when she won gold for her country. Just after the race had finished, she waited with her family until the medal ceremony.  

It was time to get her medal, she was so happy. She walked with her head held high to the podium to receive her medal. The medal presenter  gave Lisa the wrong medal. She was wondering why she got the bronze medal instead of the gold. Lisa went up to the medal presenter and asked him, “ why did I get the bronze medal?” “I was supposed to get the gold medal!”

As the medal presenter realized he said “ I'm so sorry.” He gave her the right medal & also hugged her. As she got her medal she and he started crying, she was really happy and proud of her achievements.

Valerie Adams

Shot Putter Valerie Adams is a Competitor for the Summer Olympics for 2016. She was born in 1984 the 6th of  October. So she is 31 years old. She is a four-time World champion, three time World Indoor champion, two-time Olympic and three-time Commonwealth champion. She has won a silver medal this year. Did you know that it is Valerie Adams 8th time in the Olympics Counting this year. So Far she has won 2 Golds & 1 sliver for the Olympics and 3 Golds & one Silver for the Commonwealth games.

Gabe & Saia Silicon Valley trip

Last term, 2 People From Tamaki College came to Pt England school to talk about going to Silicon Valley. They names are Saia & Gabe.  They have come again to talk to us about their trip to Silicon Valley. There were many Places they went to like Facebook, Apple, Ideo, Stanford University, google & more. They were even on the Golden state bridge, Can you Believe that!!! Saia & Gabe Inspired & Motivated me to do best in school but to also know that there are much more Experience Like the experience they went on in the world.
